Along with steering the growth charters aligned to his vision, Samer also focuses on organic and inorganic opportunities of scaling Globacom to become one of the world’s most admired technology solutions company in select areas of business, supporting growth through Customer Engagement and Digital Transformation. Being an ardent believer in nurturing distinguished talent, Samer has been able to build successful businesses as a serial entrepreneur in the global tech industry.
Prior to Globacom, Samer was CIO of SHUAA Capital Group for more than a decade. Before that, he played different leadership roles in IT & business in various industries, such as UAE-based GIBCA Group, as well as in USPCI a Union Pacific subsidiary, Antenna Products Corporation, and Howe-Baker Engineers in the US.
Samer has a Masters of Science in Structural Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington, as well as an MBA from C.T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston.
In his role as CEO of Globacom, Vijay Kartha leads Globacom’s team in achieving the Company’s business objectives and goals. Vijay has lead the growth of the company from an early start-up stage. Vijay has lead transformation of Globacom from a company with a great business concept and idea, to a company with strong fundamentals, robust technology, and scalable business prudence as well. Vijay is also a chief architect of Globacom’s flagship technology solutions that deliver a futuristic customer engagement platform to banks and financial institutions globally.
Vijay objectively believes in building businesses with a predictable scale and logical longevity that makes a business sense of an organization as a going concern. Prior to becoming a founding member of Globacom, Vijay spent 20+ years in a number of IT and business leadership roles within leading global institutions such as Emirates NDB, SHUAA Capital Group, GIBCA Group, and Dutco Group. Vijay is also passionate about travel and has lived in many countries across the globe. His global perspective has been instrumental in Globacom’s development.
As the Vice President of Business Development, Mark Kerry drives the business development charter at Globacom. Mark brings to the leadership team, 20+ years of experience in global IT and Management Consulting to lead corporate-wide initiatives geared towards meeting the company’s ambitious growth plans. Mark has an in-depth knowledge of the role of technology in multiple industry verticals such as Financial Services, Government, and Telecommunications.
Mark believes in a consultative approach to the resolution of critical business needs through process and technology improvement in different industry specific business processes. Before joining Globacom, Mark worked with Logica (now part of CGI) in business development leadership roles. His career has included engagements in Europe and the Middle East.
Mark has a Masters of Arts degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge, UK.
In his role as Vice President of Strategic Consulting, Sujith Thyvalppil leads the business technology consulting practice of Globacom that focuses on the Global Investment Banking and Financial Services industry. Being a firmly grounded expert in the industry, Sujith has deep domain and technology expertise. Globacom’s business and technology consultants in Sujith’s practice have a superior track record to their credit in providing some of the most fascinating solutions over their enterprise systems.
Sujith has over 16 years of experience in his repertoire. Prior to Globacom, Sujith headed large projects in consulting and software development. His pragmatic and hands-on philosophy has been the key to delivering value to Globacom’s consulting clientele. The consulting team, under Sujith’s leadership, is consistently working on finding fast and innovative business solutions to industry’s most pressing challenges, which was by and large the domain of software OEMs.
Sujith completed his MBA in Technology Management from Chifley Business School, Melbourne.
In his role as Vice President of Engineering and Global Delivery, Rajeev Chempath leads the software engineering, product development and the global delivery ecosystem.. With 20+ years of experience in developing mission critical and large enterprise software systems, Rajeev adds tremendous value to Globacom’s mission of providing superior technology to the market.
Rajeev’s leadership in Engineering adds a magical value to the delivery ecosystem, and that this combination completes much sought after loops of integrated customer value creation in tech industry. This is evident from accolades from Globacom’s satisfied client base worldwide. Rajeev believes in keeping the engineering and delivery ecosystems stress free and yet object oriented, which has enabled onboarding some of the brightest minds in the industry in his team.
Omar’s role as the Strategy and Business Development Executive is to raise awareness for Globacom’s products and services, generate new business and partnerships for the company, lead marketing and branding efforts, and create strategies to open up new regions and markets for Globacom.
Before joining Globacom, Omar was a management consultant in New York with Optimity Advisors and prior to that, with the IFC – part of the World Bank, based in Washington, DC, in the Global Bank Advisory Services and Credit Bureau Program. His work has spanned the Middle East, Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, and the United States.
Omar has an MBA and a certificate in Data Analytics from George Washington University in Washington, DC, and a BA in Business Economics from York University in Toronto, Canada.
