The newly developed nuclear plant wanted to establish a high- quality accounting settlement system as a key component in the processes of settlement of power services in accordance with the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).
The client wanted a modern, web-based solution and wanted to be sure that rigorous security requirements were adhered to.

Globacom provided its Illuminate as a means of processing relevant meter data and other data streams to determine the invoice.
The complex PPA and the associated generation elements was encoded using the highly configurable model- driven approach built into IlluminateTM.

Automated PPA reconciliation process via highly configurable model
BUSINESS SITUATION
BESCOM manages its complete power purchase process offline. It processes bills for more than 250 IPPs every month.
The utility serves close to 2.5 million customers which include various customer categories e.g. Industrial, Residential, Agricultural etc.
BESCOM wanted a system which can automate the PPA reconciliation process by integrating with upstream SLDC and downstream ERP application
GLOBACOM PROVIDED
Globacom provided its RelayCSP as a means of processing relevant meter data and other data streams to determine the invoice.

BUSINESS SITUATION
Taweelah Asia Power Company had been operating a Plant Accounting and Settlement System (PASS) supplied by a third party company.
Following the exit of the provider from the regional market the Taweelah Asia Power Company was unable to adequately support the system.
GLOBACOM PROVIDED
Globacom brought specialist PASS knowledge to Taweelah Asia Power Company and was able to effectively take responsibility for the system.
Globacom is continuing to support the system through a combination of its onshore presence and where necessary its offshore technical specialists.
Globacom has additionally held workshops aimed at helping Taweelah Asia Power Company identify improvements its processes and to the system in order to further drive operational efficiency.
OUTCOME
Taweelah Asia Power Company is able to continue to use the system into the forseeable future.

Our client wanted a regional firm with a strong understanding of Plant Accounting, Settlement and Billing System to provide consulting services for the PASS system.
The client wanted to ensure efficiency, sustainability and robustness of the PASS system, along with complete transparency with the offtaker.

Globacom has audited the PASS software and its complete functionality in the context of business processes and needs.
Globacom has witnessed the FAT and SAT testing procedures and gave suggestions to the client to enhance system reliability and performance.
Globacom has created test scenarios and compared results between PASS system and Globacom’s Offline PASS results to ensure whether invoice calculation is complying with WPA formulae followed by notifying discrepancies.
OUTCOME
Our Client has been able to rely on PASS correctness and functionalities based on the quality of deliverables showed and the timeliness of the work performed by Globacom. Globacom continues to extend its support through the SAT process.

Our client aimed at creating a third-party audit service for the Accounting and Settlement System of their independent Sewage Treatment Plant.
They wanted the system to validate and certify that the software calculates the invoices accurately as per their expectations and requirements, in accordance with the terms and conditions of STA for all the payments.
